ABOUT

The tenth issue of Shooting Gameside, published by Micro Magazine in September 2014, 159 pages. The lead feature covers Fantasy Zone, Sega's pastel-coloured 1986 shooter, with a full series guide and an interview with its planner Yoji Ishii. It is paired with an unusually thorough treatment of Nichibutsu's Terra Cresta: a strategy feature aimed at clearing the first loop, plus interviews with developer Shigeki Fujiwara and composer Kenshi Yoshida, an early sign of the Nichibutsu interest that would fill Vol. 11.

Elsewhere the issue covers the arcade game Lost Land Adventure, profiles the working methods of former Nintendo developer Satoshi Okada, reviews the doujin release REVOLVER360 RE:ACTOR, and interviews Yuzo Koshiro about Gotta Protectors, alongside the recurring column on shooting games overseas. Reader ratings place this among the best-received issues of the run.
