Cave's official setting materials collection for Deathsmiles, self-published around 2007 and distributed the way Cave's books were: bundled with a limited edition or sold at the company's own events and shop rather than through the trade. The National Diet Library holds it at 126 pages, without an ISBN.
Per Cave's own description of the book, it collects the game's setting materials and rough art in quantity, together with a manga by Junya Inoue, the artist who handled Deathsmiles' character design. Cave later sold a PDF edition through its BOOTH shop, which is how the contents are documented.
Deathsmiles, the company's gothic horror shooter with its cast of angel protagonists, leaned on Inoue's designs more than any Cave game before it, and this book is the primary record of that work.
