The official 79-page guidebook for Radiant Silvergun, published in 1998 by SoftBank's publishing division in its Sega Saturn Magazine Books line, prepared by the Sega Saturn Magazine and amusement book editorial teams, for the Saturn release of Treasure's shooter.
Radiant Silvergun's chaining system, in which score depends on destroying same-coloured enemies in unbroken sequence, and its weapon-levelling structure reward exactly the routed, premeditated play a guide can teach, and this thin official volume was the period's only dedicated reference.
The game has since become one of the most celebrated shooters ever made, and its slim first-party guide has followed it into collectibility.
