HISTORY

Tenta Shooter / The 触シュー is a shmup made by Rakugaki Games using STGBuilder and released in December 8th 2017 for Steam by the publisher Henteko Doujin.

The game seems to be inspired in Mushihimesama, EspRaDe, RefleX, GigaWing, and even Dangun Feveron for the bullet speeds.

Gameplay Overview

Tenta Shooter / The 触シュー is a vertically scrolling shmup with 8 way directional movement, a shot button, a Bullet Counter button and a rapid fire button.

Bullet Counter (B.C.) is a weapon that can turn bullets into homming shots to fire back at the enemies.

The player has a Death gauge that represents the amount of damage taken from enemies. If it reaches full capacity, the game will end.

Extends are basically an apple on the back, and when the Death gauge is full, the player is given another chance to continiue ahead.

There are hidden fairies and tokens scattered around the stage, and they can be revealed by completing certain tasks.

There`s also Stage tasks, which awards stars for acomplishing those requirements.

Controls

Button 1 (Tap): Shot

Button 1 (Hold): Focus shot

Button 2: B.C. activation

Button 3: Rapid shot

Scoring

Scoring in this game consists of killing enemies with the homming shots from using the B.C. When the player catches a lot of bullets with the B.C., the multiplier will be higher.

Game modes

Shock mode: A no-continiue mode that allows the player to use the collected cards to modify the game experience.

Arcade mode: A mode where the game is played on it`s original experience. Continiue system is enabled for this mode.

Dying mode: A no-continiue game mode where the Death gauge increases overtime.

Score Attack: A mode that allows the player to choose any stage and score as high as possible. It`s also recommended for practicing.

Types

Type-A:

Wide shot type with fast speed.

Type-B:

Spread shot type with slow speed.

Type-C:

Has a forward normal shot, and short tanged wide focus shots.

Has the ability to slowdown time and gives i-frames while using the B.C.

Type-SB:

Has a weak shot type but has really fast speed and special Bullet Counter features.

Cards list

There`s many different cards that can be unlocked and they also contain hentai scenes. However, there`s a censor filter for the cards.

Unlock requirement for each card:

Cards A (Increases player`s movement speed):

A1- Eat 1,000 Small Dekopon

A2- Eat 5,000 Small Dekopon

A3- Eat 10,000 Small Dekopon

A4- Clear every stage in Arcade mode

A5- Get a No Continiue clear on Arcade mode

A6- Get a No-Miss clear on Arcade mode.

Cards B (Increases player`s attack power):

B1- Eat 1,000 Large Dekopon

B2- Eat 5,000 Large Dekopon

B3- Eat 10,000 Large Dekopon

B4- Collect every tentacle tokens on a stage

B5- Collect every tentacle tokens on three different stages

B6- Collect every tentacle tokens on all stages

Cards C (Increases player`s B.C. field size):

C1- Bullet counter 64 times

C2- Bullet counter 128 times

C3- Bullet counter 256 times

C4- Achieve booby bonus

C5- Achieve booby bonus on three different stages

C6- Achieve booby bonus on every stage

Cards D (Lowers enemy bullet speed):

D1- Counter 6,400 enemy bullets

D2- Counter 12,800 enemy bullets

D3- Counter 25,600 enemy bullets

D4- Collect every fairy on a single stage

D5- Collect every fairy on three different stages

D6- Collect every fairy on all stages

Cards E (Reduces the damage taken from enemies):

E1- Defeat 256 enemies during a 32X combo

E2- Defeat 512 enemies during a 32X combo

E3- Defeat 1,024 enemies during a 32X combo

E4- Achieve a three star rating

E5- Achieve a three star rating on three different stages

E6- Achieve a three star rating on all stages

Cards X (NOT FOR USE IN SHOCK MODE!!):

X1- Survive Stage 1 in Dying mode

X2- Survive Stage 3 in Dying mode

X3- Survive Stage 5 in Dying mode

Items

True Last Boss / TLB

In Shock mode, the TLB is optional, and it can be enabled ON or OFF.

To trigger the TLB in Arcade mode, the player has to at least 1cc until beating the Stage 5 Boss.

In Dying mode, TLB is always triggered.

Trivia

The B.C. attack is a reference to GigaWing`s RF attack.

The bullet speed in this game is majorly inspired in Dangun Feveron.

The bullet designs are possibly royalty free danmaku bullet sprites.

Kei is a fairy girl who once lived peacefully in the forest with her sister Sei. One morning, Kei woke up and Sei was nowhere to be found.

Kei immediately flew from her home to search for her missing friend.
