Spiders of Mars

Spiders of Mars is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up for the VIC-20 in which the player controls a fly, published by United Microware Industries and credited to Tensor Technology. Movement runs both left and right in the manner of Defender, but the objective is simply to destroy a set number of creatures on each level. The four enemy types behave differently: bats flutter about without shooting, dragonflies leave trails of homing dust bombs, wasps appear from the right and fire stings swiftly, and the title spiders descend from the top spinning webs that prevent the player from moving, then fire new webs upward once they reach the ground.
