QP Shooting
QP Shooting is a Windows doujin shooter by the circle Orange_Juice, running on Windows 98 through XP. Its official manual describes it as an orthodox six-stage shooting game with a boss at the end of each stage, in which every bullet an enemy has fired turns into a collectible item when that enemy is destroyed. The distinguishing system is the rabbit bits attached to the player's ship: three formations are chosen before a run and swapped during play, each one changing attack power, rate of fire, the ship's movement speed and the number of star items dropped, with further formations bought using USA points earned in play. Scoring is chain-based, items collected in quick succession are worth more and being hit resets the chain, while a hyper mode raises attack power, turns nearby enemy bullets into items and doubles item drops.
