K-Star Patrol

K-Star Patrol is a horizontally scrolling shooter in which the player pilots a Lead Star Ship over a hostile alien planet, escorting a trailing formation of eight Star Ships through ten enemy sectors. Alien attack ships rise vertically from the planet surface and transform into warhead rockets that must be destroyed before they reach the patrol behind, and points are deducted for every attacker allowed to escape. The ship carries a Hydrogen Activated Force Field Barrier, recharged by dipping into the hydrogen lakes below, and screen-clearing HAPN Bombs detonated by rotating the joystick, while an Intergalactic Leech tracked on a long-range sector bar drains laser and shield energy if it attaches to the player.
