Galactix

Galactix is a homebrew shooter for Nintendo's Pokemon Mini, distributed through pokemon-mini.net as a complete source release whose files are dated September 2005. Each of its three stages is a tilemap exactly one screen wide and eight screens tall, 12 by 64 tiles against the handheld's 96 by 64 pixel display, making it a vertically oriented course rather than a horizontally scrolling one. The ROM header names the game GALACTIX PM while its sprite and map files carry the working title PokeInvaders, and clearing it displays a message congratulating the player for saving the Earth from the evil aliens. A separate patch was released later so the game could be played in color under the PokeMini emulator.
