Eclosion

Eclosion is a free Windows doujin vertically scrolling shooting game by the Japanese developer Orchard, released in complete form in March 2010 after a 2008 demo and last revised as version 0.92 in 2011. The developer describes it as a deliberately orthodox six-stage shooter with simple systems and readable enemy attack patterns, balanced for beginner to intermediate players. Orchard later returned to the same setting with Precious Star, subtitled Eclosion Gaiden, whose story casts Eclosion as a city-management computer system whose later imitations malfunctioned and turned hostile.
