Apache Flight
Apache Flight is a vertically scrolling shoot-em-up coded by Minds I and published at budget price by Atlantis Software for the Amiga in 1992, putting the player in a heavily armed helicopter over desert terrain. It mixes airborne and ground targets, upgrades the player's armament through collected power-ups, and places refuelling stations that double as power-up drops, across four mission objectives to destroy enemy weapons caches. Reception was sharply split, with magazine scores running from 28 to 87 percent for an average of 53 percent, and reviewers repeatedly measuring it against SWIV and criticising its collision detection and imprecise steering.
