Akazukin

An arcade game by Sigma Enterprises whose title is the Japanese name for Little Red Riding Hood. It is an escort shooter rather than a conventional ship game: a non-player Red Riding Hood walks upward by herself along a winding, branching path, while the player controls a hunter at the bottom of the screen who moves left and right and shoots the wolves and other dangers closing on her, losing a life if a wolf touches her. The route includes river crossings and hazards such as piranhas and obstructive frogs, and both the pace and the number of enemies increase as play continues.
