Airrade: Air
AIRRADE-AIR- is a doujin shooter by Studio SiestA, released 20 July 2005 as a complete remake of the circle's 2002 AIRRADE with all characters, enemies, backgrounds and music redone, again using the cast of Key's AIR. It scrolls horizontally: the player sits at the left and fires forward, and the returning punch attack sends a struck enemy flying to the right of the screen, where contact with another enemy sets off a chain explosion. New to this version is an upper that lofts enemies diagonally up and to the right and can re-loft them as many times as they stay on screen, a Shot Impact gauge that raises shot power and applies a score multiplier of up to ten, and a Terrible AIR shockwave that turns enemy bullets into items and drives chain counters into the thousands. It also adds two-player co-operative play on a shared score, and offers no continues.
