A 106-page strategy guide for Star Soldier on the Famicom, published by Shogakukan in 1986 in its Wonder Life Special line. Hudson's vertical shooter was the flagship game of that year's Caravan score-attack tournaments, and this is the fullest of its period guides.
Star Soldier play centred on two-minute and five-minute timed score runs as much as on clearing stages, and a guide of this size had room for scoring routes and the game's famous hidden power-ups alongside conventional maps.
As the printed companion to the Caravan phenomenon it documents Japanese score-attack culture at its mid 1980s peak.
